About IBCA

In the year 2000 IBCA was born as a small enterprise with big dreams. We aimed to introduce the bakery as a career choice. Culinary Arts is a passion that needs a nurturing environment to mature. We, at IBCA, sow the seeds of bakery education. Our programmes cater to culinary enthusiasts from all walks of life, from domestic hobby fulfilment to catering to the needs of the professional baking industry.

The organization came into being with a basic Home baking course spread over 3 days. By2001, it had expanded to a 4-week Baking and Entrepreneurs course. 2005 saw the advent of the 14-week diploma course and the IBCA grew from strength to strength. The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Yojana scheme saw the organization bloom into a huge presence that is in synergy with industry needs.

The Baking and food industry is an industry that keeps redefining itself with the changing needs and trends of society. Newer techniques and job requirements require IBCA to keep evolving with the times. Our vision is to be an industry leader in the procurement of trained manpower in the field of Culinary Arts. Training people with a drive and making them employable in this burgeoning industry is our motto.

The institute believes in becoming the tool that hones the student’s expertise. Hands-on training in a professional environment makes the student proficient, confident and dextrous. The extensive alumni also take an active role in networking with industry professionals, and the strong link with their Alma Mater creates an environment that is conducive to generating meaningful employment for the next batches.

Timeline

Institute started with Home Baking course (3 days).

2000

We started Home Baking and Entrepreneurs course of 4 weeks.

2001

Home baking and Eggless Home baking started EBC with Bakers course ( 1 week).

2002

Home Baking, Eggless Home Baking, Bakers Course, Entrepreneurs Bakers course and 1 week decoration course upgraded new venue

2003

Home Baking, Eggless Home Baking, Bakers Course, Entrepreneurs Bakers course, Cake decoration and introduce Snacks and Sandwich, Desserts and Extensive Baking course (6 week).

2004

Started Diploma (14) week) course and added 1 week Gateaux, Torte, Pastry and wedges course and Caramel Bakery outlet.

2005

Home Baking, Eggless Home Baking, Bakers Course, Entrepreneurs Bakers course, Cake decoration , Snacks and Sandwich, Desserts and Extensive Baking , Gateaux, Torte, Pastry and wedges, Diploma and started industrial training course in Carmel.

2006

Introduce chocolate molding course.

2007

Conducted institutional Bakery training course in Mount Carmel collage (6 week).

2008

Introduce Children’s Baking course for 3 days.

2009

Introduce 4 different weekend baking course like Micro baking, Short baking, Gluten free and vegan free baking

2010

We extended our space by constructed steel structure and having more training class on the 2nd floor.

2011

Started Pradhan Manthri koushalya Yojan under Ministry of Labor government of India .

2012

Conducted institutional course and demonstration of bakery training in various social and corporate spaces and we associated with Annual Bangalore cake show with 6 cake models.

2013

Continuing assisting cake show and started conducting course for City and Guilds London In associated with Manipal Education trust.

2014

Rented 1400sqft area for storage were we manufacture and store support and sales material

2015

We were now geared up to take charge of complete display of annual Bangalore cake show and also started another training center in Marathahalli Bangalore.

2016

Indtoduced new training programs on structural cakes, Ice cream, hot and Frozen Desserts course.

2017

Upgrading Diploma course 14 week to 16 week in Patisserie principles and also started 1 month Job training course in Marathahalli.

2018

Our Trainers

The institute has at present 8 professionally trained teachers with highly qualified academic degrees and many years of experience in baking. Trainers come with a wide knowledge of Science (Physics & Chemistry}, Applied Mathematics & Commerce, Design & Architecture, Management and more, which has been a strong support for our students to understand the simplified learning of baking as well as creative needs.

The Institute has not only provided the trainers a space to teach but also helped every trainer to develop with their own research to be able to understand the applied knowledge of bakery product performance. Our trainers have always been the thinking head of our performance and growth.

With 8+ trainers, 100+ years of collective experiences, but a single objective of making our students benefits with the learning on bakery and confectionery. We believe in the culture of Gurukul and a strong learning for your lifetime.
